If I wouldn’t have to grind for 100 hours just to get enough in-game cash to buy some of these vehicles I’d dust off my game and play.

Looks a bit more Group C than DP.

Here’s hoping for some more bikes as well.

And, FUCK YOU ROCKSTAR!

There is zero reason why the in-game economy has to be so horrid. I already bought your damn game. I am NOT going to buy your insipid “Shark Card” just so I can have enough money in game to play your fucking game.

BUT YOU CAN BUY A SHARK CARD FOR 10 EASY PAYMENTS OF $9.99! THEN YOU WILL BE 100,000 R$ RICHER!

The best evidence of how terrible it is, is how they do nothing about hackers, but then the second they drop a moneybag they go DEFCON 1. They even started taking the money away from people who have it dropped on them.

The screenshot Justin posted? Yeah I think so too. But I’m talking about the car in the video preview thumbnail with the Audi prototype-style headlights.

It’s obviously meant to be some sort of modern prototype racer. Looking at it again I do see a lot of Riley DP, a little Toyota GT-One and much less Group C than I initially thought.

There’s every reason from Rockstar’s POV. It’s making them an astronomical amount of cash.

Sadly this is the way the games market is going, keep the fun one payment away.

I'm pretty sure I saw trophy/stadium trucks. If they get the physics of those right, I'll be in the desert for days.

meh, its far better than Destiny or any other dlc that makes you pay for content... at least the content is free, or paid for by your fellow GTA players who are willing to buy those stupid cards.

I actually have no problem paying for DLC. I will pre-order the next Destiny expansion. I have enjoyed playing Destiny very much. I have also anjoyed GTA. I would be okay paying for DLC from Rockstar.

What I do not appreciate is having to pay real money just to have enough in-game money to play with all the new things they just gave us to play with. I am not advocating for hand-outs, and am okay needing to save up for things in the game. But I despise all the really cool stuff being so outrageously expensive that the ONLY realistic way to obtain those things is to buy their damn currency cards or to cheat.

If Rockstar reduced in-game prices by at least half, but then charged $20 or so for their DLC, I would be fine with that.

I have zero issue supporting a game developer for making a game I play. I just do not like being obviously hosed for my money. And right now, Rockstar is doing just that. GTA Online is made so that people are basically forced to buy those Shark cards in order to be able to get anything in the game itself.

ugh, i’m not ok with the way destiny did its DLC, basically the original “game” if you can even call it that, was half-assed and half completed. It was such a short game, and i ended up grinding for about a week or 2 for nothing because i had already maxed out on my level before i even did the first raid.

Im old school. When i pay for a game, i expect a completed finished game that I will get at least a week or 2 of single player fun out of, or like i did with the metal gear solid games, 8 to 12 hours of non stop binge playing, before I get bored of it and go strictly to multiplayer.

Destiny only gave me about 4 to 6 hours of single player time. I still Feel more ripped off by Destiny than I do Call of Duty AW, and I only played AW for about a week, and never downloaded any DLC.

I never minded paying for DLC with the older CODs because more multiplayer maps. They weren’t expensive and there was even the Zombies mode. Even with Forza, I don’t mind DLC for more cars or tracks. But the one Caveat for it all is, those were all complete games, good or bad.

Destiny was such an annoyingly frustratingly incomplete game with so many bugs. More bugs than GTAV/GTAO. But at least GTAV’s single player story mode was complete and all of GTAO’s expansions have been free.

Bungie has learned quite a lot from their intial mistakes.

Yes, vanilla Destiny was flawed. But they have made huge changes since then and the game is very much enjoyable to play now.

And since Destiny is some strange MMO/FPS hybrid, they could have charged a monthly access fee like WoW. Instead they let players continue to play for free after their initial purchase. So looking at their DLC as back-payment for those access fees makes more sense. They aren’t ripping people off by asking for money for new content.

And as for the game being “broken”, Bungie have been THE most active developer in terms of patching and updating their game after initial release that I have ever seen. Destiny is still flawed, but it will never be perfect for everyone. It is however, tons of fun to play.

The days of buying a game, and what is on the disc is all there is, are over.

Go ahead and hold that grudge though. Your loss.
